Zoltan Szabo, LMT
I have undergraduate degrees in biology, economics and education and obtained a doctoral degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. My academic work ranged from researching the pathologies of elastic fibers of the connective tissue (Rolfers™ call this fascia) to marine biology and population genetics. It was during a 3-week long research cruise on a NOAA vessel to the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands where I developed chronic and excruciating pain in my left shoulder due to a busy diving schedule. The pain became so excruciating that I had to take painkillers for the rest of the trip. After my return, I decided I needed to address this very seriously and made appointment with a Rolfer recommended by a massage therapist friend. It was a life changing experience for me, and four years later I gave up my academic carrier to step on the path of a healer.
